The best thriller I have read so far

I don’t know why I reached for The Advocate of Truth – it’s not my kind of story. Maybe because there are several thriller writers in my country and I wanted to use the novel as a kind of benchmark. I reached one conclusion: this is the best thriller I’ve read so far, smart, well-paced and multidimensional. I love complex plots with extraordinary characters, and The Advocate of Truth gave me exactly what I expected. Good job!

A book I could not put down

A book I could not put down. This book is a techno-thriller with a story of friendship. If you are curious or even fearful about how our technology affects our lives, this is a great and believable novel!

Do read it!

‘Advocate of the truth’ deserves a strong recommendation. Before reading the story I was somewhat skeptical, because I feared that it was mainly a legal thriller. But that was a wrong perception. The novel is an exceptional combination of suspense (to stop reading is no option) and consciousness (urging you to reflect on your own life and the society we live in). It is nog only fluently but above all very well written. Friends who practice law, like I did, and who did borrow my copy are as enthusiastic as I am. Do read it!

Philosophical and enjoyable
This book continued to become more intriguing. In the beginning, I felt it strayed in the plot, but Adriaan Bos’ storyline is thought-provoking.
I enjoyed the last several chapters immensely. Good book.

Gripping thriller
This is a gripping thriller that makes you hold your breath to see what could possibly happen next. Will technology and greed overcome the humanity of love for one’s fellow man. A group of greedy men will stop at nothing to get control of a chip that mankind would beg for, even lose their freedom for if they feel it is the only answer to a worldwide epidemic taking thousands of lives per day. The number may quickly go into the millions as the virus crosses the globe. Could this virus have been manufactured by this same group of men. Many will lose their lives trying to find the answer. Others will find themselves through the search. This book is never boring!

A real ‘must read’
At first glance ‘Advocate of the truth’ seems to be a thrilling novel comparable to classics from the likes of Dan Brown or John Grisham. You will soon find out however that the book much is more than a page turner. The author describes the technological progress in our society in a striking way. In doing so he paints a grim but realistic view of a future wherein our most fundamental values are neglected in using all possibilities technological developments provide us. On top of that there is a spiritual layer which forces you to slow down instead of hurrying to learn how the suspenseful story ends. You will be rewarded with fine insights, also on a personal level. ‘Advocate of the truth’ is written in a clear and fascinating way and succeeds in constructing the growing suspense very well, you will be surprised till the end. You can read the novel as a thriller, but it is the combination with relevant dilemma’s in our current society and with the spiritual layer in which universal themes are addressed that makes me recommend this book as a real ‘must read’.

An inspiring, touching and thrilling novel.
From the beginning I couldn’t detach myself from this story. Advocate of the truth is a gripping thriller in which the main character is faced with choices that not only affect his own life but also that of others. How he manages to uphold and stick to his inner sense of knowing results in an inspiring, touching and thrilling novel that makes you feel that choices made from a deep connection with your essence can truly make a difference. The book stirringly conveys that personal leadership against all odds is essential for this time. An absolute must!

I simply loved this book.  A perfect (Christmas) present

If I had to choose one word to sum up my experience of reading this book, I’d choose the word: “thrilling”. There is no better way to put it, I simply loved this book. There is a twist lurking behind every corner and at no point in the novel could I catch my breath. I have to admit it is quite a long book, but the engaging story line makes it seem like a breeze. There were times I could barely put it down (I finished it in 3 sittings). When it comes to its language it is very well written. The author uses profound language that is pleasant to read, yet fairly easy to understand. Furthermore, the author presents an array of intertextual references that make the story even more believable, even more real. Overall, this book (to me) is the kind of book that is best read with a cup of tea, curled up in a cozy chair. A perfect (Christmas) present.
